We all love Minecraft, it's an amazing game and with it, you can do some much, and what makes it more fun is mods, with mods you can change the look, the graphics, or even the gameplay mechanics of the game and turn basic Minecraft into a hardcore survival game or farming sim, adventure game and plenty more. In this post, we provide you with a list of Minecraft mods that will make you love the game.

Ping Mod

The first mod is the ping mod, and this mod adds a feature which by the way will work in multiplayer so long as the server and the players have it installed allows you to ping things for each other and this is just so incredibly helpful for so many situations, because how many times have you found yourself just saying oh look over there and then the person's wondering what in the world you're talking about, well regardless this mod pretty much fixes that for you, there are four different indicators you can select from so you can further convey what you're trying to say which is especially helpful if you can't actually talk to the person you're playing with.

Next, we have a mod that'll get you just a little closer to nature and this is the companion mod, if you've been looking for a mod that adds camping equipment to the game honestly look no further unless you're playing on forge because it's fabric mod, this mod adds pretty much everything you could ask for, sleeping bags, tents, marshmallows, plus some other things that are pretty helpful for exploring such as rope bridges and grappling hooks, it's a really cool mod and a lot of fun to play with.

Next, we have the cave biomes mod, and this mod makes caves actually slightly interesting which is always a plus with this mod installed, some caves will be full of webs while others will be lined with magma blocks, the mod isn't a complete cave overhaul such as for example the extended caves mod, but you know it does help spice them up a bit.

This next mod is a mod that's going to be very appreciated by those of you that don't particularly enjoy walking thousands of blocks just to reach your destinations, and what you do with this mod is place several different way stones and once they are activated, you can fast travel between them, so if you like avoiding journeys, not even frodo would attempt this mod is definitely one you should install.

The next mod up is zero's minimap and world map, and I'm pretty happy this one updated because, in my opinion, this is actually the best minimap mod for Minecraft, it looks good, runs smoothly, and comes with pretty much all the features you would expect from a mod like this, so yeah if you're looking for a mini-map mod you really don't need to look past this one.

The next mod I have for you guys is a mod you would never expect me to put on one of these lists, and this is optifine, yes I know I include this mod quite often, but you have no idea just how happy I am that this mod is already available for 1.16 I tell people that I don't play Minecraft if I don't have optifine installed and I'm truly not kidding, having optifine feels so natural to me that when I don't have the zoom feature, it's just weird, so yeah definitely download optifine, there's really no reason not to unless you have some mod out there that is sadly incompatible with it, you really just should have it installed.

After that, we have biomes aplenty, and this mod has been the most popular world generation mod for like half a decade now and deservedly so, one of my favorite things about biome so plenty is it looks pretty similar to vanilla minecraft, doesn't really stray too far from it, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if a mod does that, for example terraforce looks nothing like vanilla generation, but it looks amazing, but biomes aplenty is pretty much the best mod out there, when it comes to changing the world generation without completely changing it.

Next, we have the simple diving gear mod, and one thing I don't really love about minecraft, is just how short of a time you can hold your breath for, I mean what is it like 10 seconds, seven-year-olds can hold their breath longer than that, and yes you can get enchantments on your helmet to make it last a bit longer, but that just doesn't really do it for me and what this mod will do for you is add some diving equipment, once you have the diving gear on, you'll be able to be underwater for about two minutes along with travel faster, and the equipment's actually pretty balanced as once you go on land, you'll start to walk and mine slower.

Nearing the end, we have the simple yet wonderful backpacked mod, and even though it's very simple, this is probably my favorite backpack mod available, it isn't ridiculously op, it doesn't look super weird, and actually displays on your back without taking up the chest plate slot, really this is just the backpack mod I would go with regardless of the version I'm playing.

Finally, the last mod I have for you guys today is young's better mine shafts, and while I wouldn't say the vanilla mine shafts are terrible they're not great, this mod aims to improve that mine shafts will be a bit more detailed now and will actually come in multiple sizes, and this just makes exploring them a bit more interesting because it's not just the same thing over and over and that goes a long ways.
